What is a studio day for models?

A studio day for model portfolio building is a regular event held at our Studio when models can book time slots to shoot with us. These events provide models with access to professional equipment, guidance, and the opportunity to create high-quality images for their portfolios at greatly reduced rates.

Do I need to pay models for their time?

No. Model fees, the use of our studio, and our equipment is included in your hourly rate.

How do I book a slot for a model day?

Photographers can reserve a time slot online by using our booking form and paying any required fees or deposits to secure your booking.

Are fees refundable?

A full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by us or you cancel your booking at least 7 days in advance. We offer a partial refund of 50% if you cancel within 7 to 3 days before the event. Cancellations made within 3 days of the event are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your slot. In which case a full-refund will be given minus an admin fee of 25%.

Are model days suitable for begginers?

Our model days are open to photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced professionals wishing to develop their skills or add to their portfolio, but maybe they aren’t ideal for a complete studio novice. If you are one, we do offer fully and part-tutored sessions and workshops which should be ideal. Visit our workshop page for more details.

What should I bring to a studio and model day?

Photographers should bring their camera equipment, including camera bodies and lenses, and any props or accessories they plan to use during the shoot. Lighting gear is optional but you're welcome to bring your own. It's also essential to communicate with us beforehand to discuss wardrobe and styling options.

Can I use images for commercial purposes?

Usage rights for images captured during model days may vary depending on the event. Full details can be found on the specific event page. It's essential to clarify the usage rights with us if you have any doubts or questions to ensure compliance with copyright and licensing agreements.

Can I bring my own models to a model day?

No, but you are welcome to book studio time for your own project.

Are makeup artists and stylists available?

Usually models provide their own hair and make up and are quite skilled at that. After all, they are professionals. However we may offer the option to hire makeup artists, hairstylists, and stylists to assist with the shoot. It's advisable to inquire about these services in advance and make arrangements accordingly if desired.
